Acorn uses a simple, non-invasive method to collect your hair follicle cells, which are then cryogenically preserved to stop the natural aging process. By freezing your healthiest cells today, you’re creating a personal reserve that could be used in future hair regenerative solutions such as your very own personalized Secretome treatment.
Our provider will carefully collect around 50 hair follicles from the back and sides of your scalp, where hair tends to remain thickest over time. Once your sample arrives at our specialized lab, it undergoes a viability test to ensure the cells are healthy and usable. You’ll receive a personalized report from Acorn letting you know how your sample performed.
If the sample doesn’t meet our viability standards, we’ll invite you back for a free follow-up collection at no extra cost so we can ensure a complete, high-quality cell bank for every patient.

Once your sample arrives at our lab, Acorn conducts two rounds of thorough testing to confirm that your cells meet our strict viability standards. If additional cells are needed to complete your sample, you’ll be notified by email, and a follow-up collection—referred to as a “top-up”—will be scheduled at no additional cost to you.
