Dr. Ronan was born in the California Bay Area. Growing up, Stephen always aspired to becoming a doctor. He graduated with honors from St. Vincent High School in Petaluma and pursued his Physiology degree at the University of California, Davis. He also worked as an EMT while earning his undergraduate degree. He even got a letter of Commendation for his fieldwork from Gov. Pete Wilson.
He completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University) in Richmond and was awarded the S. Dawson Theogaraj Scholarship for Excellence in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Ronan finished his residency and fellowship in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University).
Dr. Ronan served as the Chief Surgical House Officer at Columbia Hospitals (Chippenham, Johnston-Willis and John Randolph) for several years while completing his residency and fellowship. During this time, he also spent two years as Chief Fellow in Plastic Surgery.
The epitome of excellence, Dr. Ronan scored in the 99th percentile on his In-Service Exam for Plastic Surgery. At San Joaquin General Hospital, he taught reconstructive cosmetic surgery as the Chief of Plastic Surgery. He has received medical licenses in California, Nevada, and Virginia.
As a trainer and educator for other doctors on various aesthetic procedures, Dr. Ronan is actively involved with Galderma Laboratories, Allergan, Suneva Medical, Cutera, Medicis Pharmaceuticals, Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, and Thermi Aesthetics.
